A Day in the Life
Morning
You wake up after a restful night’s sleep, and head to the gourmet kitchen for some hot coffee. Mug in hand, you look out the window at the Colorado Rockies. Today is another bluebird day, perfect weather for skiing, and the kids are raring to make some turns in their ski school group.
Once everyone’s suited up, step out the door. You notice that you’re practically on the mountain already. That’s the convenience you want during your ski vacation.
Swish down to the base, drop the kids off at the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center, and then, join your own lesson.
Afternoon
After an energizing morning of putting your instructor’s pointers to good use, enjoy lunch on the mountain with the kids. Over soup, salad, sandwiches, pizza, and more, talk about what you all learned that morning from your Ski Pros.
Fueled up for the afternoon’s activities, let the kids return to their lesson. As for you, ski to the base, and spend your afternoon enjoying a massage at the spa.
The lifts are done spinning for the day. Meet everyone back at your vacation home for an après-ski get together. Sit around the fire pit with steaming mugs of hot chocolate and apple cider for the kids and hot toddies for the adults.
Evening
For dinner, you take the family up Castle Creek Road just outside of Aspen for a lovely meal at Pine Creek Cookhouse. Getting to the restaurant is an adventure in itself, since the road is partially closed to vehicular traffic in the winter. You do have a lot of options for completing the journey, though. You can hop in a horse-drawn sleigh, cross country ski, or snowshoe. Whatever you and the family choose, expect a memorable and magical evening at this spectacular restaurant.
