Food and Wine Classic in Aspen 2015This June, celebrate the beginning of summer at one of the top culinary festivals in the country, the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen 2015. From June 19 – 21, discover the cooking secrets of the world’s best chefs during cooking demonstrations. Learn how to pair food and wine while attending a seminar. Also, get in on the latest trends in the culinary industry.

This year’s Food & Wine Classic begins with the Celebrity Chef 5K Charity Run on the Rio Grande Trail. Join Richard Blais, Tim Love, Marcus Samuelsson, and fellow Classic attendees for some morning exercise on one of Aspen’s most scenic trails.

Another unique event to check out is the Food & Wine dinner party at the top of Aspen Mountain on Saturday night, the 20th of June. Look forward to a spectacular gourmet dining experience with the opportunity for some excellent star gazing before riding the gondola to the base of the mountain.

Tickets are on sale now, so snag one before this popular event becomes sold out. If you purchase tickets before March 15, the price is $1,350, and after that date, the ticket price is $1,450.

Winter X Games 2015 in Aspen from January 22 – 25

Winter X Games 2015 in AspenThe Winter X Games 2015 will be in Aspen at Buttermilk Mountain from January 22 – 25. This year’s X Games will include 19 competitions that include Ski and Snowboard SuperPipe, Slopestyle, and Big Air. As for the snowmobile competitions, Snowmobile Freestyle has been removed from the lineup, and replaced with HillCross, which involves a head-to-head race on the X Course.

A few new additions to the X Games 2015 competition schedule include Snowboarder X Adaptive, Mono Skier X, and Snowmobile Speed & Style.

This year’s X Games will also feature an expanded music venue, since Skrillex, Wiz Khalifa, Chromeo, and Snoop Dog are scheduled to perform at the base of Buttermilk Mountain. For those interested in attending the concerts, which will be held from Friday, January 23 – Sunday, January 25, tickets must be purchased. There is the option to purchase individual concert tickets or a pass to see all of the acts.
