Spending the holiday season in Aspen Snowmass with family and friends is a truly special experience, with skiing on Snowmass Mountain, sipping hot cocoa by a roaring fireplace, and enjoying all there is to do in this Colorado Rocky Mountain destination. If you and your loved ones are headed to Aspen Snowmass for the upcoming holidays, look forward to the 12 Days of Aspen, Snowmass events, and Ullr Nights at Elk Camp on Snowmass Mountain. An annual holiday event, the 12 Days of Aspen is from December 20 – 31. Each day features festive and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy from ice skating at Aspen's Silver Circle Ice Rink and free hot cocoa and cookies to holiday crafts workshops and fireworks shows. From Christmas to New Year's Eve, the 12 Days of Aspen events and activities is certain to get you in the holiday spirit. Snowmass Village will come alive with holiday cheer from December 21 – 24 during the Snowmass Holiday Songs & Carols event. Head to the Snowmass Base Village, where carolers will be performing holiday classics all day. Ullr Nights at Elk Camp on Snowmass Mountain has grown in popularity during the winter season. Held every Friday through March, the Friday evenings of December 20 and December 31 will feature a special theme to celebrate the holiday season and the New Year. At the top of the Elk Camp Gondola, sit before a roaring bonfire, roast marshmallows, make s'mores, and sip hot cocoa before heading out to another on-mountain adventure. Ullr Nights offers a sledding hill, with tubes and sleds provided, a Viking Ghost Ship, a ski and snowboard park, ice skating with rentals, a guided snowbiking tour through Four Mountain Sports, live music, and kids' activities inside of the Elk Camp Restaurant. In addition, the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) offers guided naturalist tours during Ullr Nights. These two hour guided snowshoe tours explore winter flora and fauna, and provide a meaningful and educational experience for all. Ullr Nights is held from 5:30 – 9:00 pm on Friday evenings during the winter season. Elk Camp Gondola tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 4–12 and season passholders, and children 3 and under receive free admission.
