Fresh tracks are guaranteed on the tour. An average day on the powder tour consists of 10,000 vertical feet and about 10 runs of untracked pristine powder in open bowls, glades, and meadows. You can charter a snowcat for 12 people or book individually. A hearty lunch is served in a rustic cabin in between some of the best runs of your life. Reservations are required, so be sure to reserve ahead of time for a backcountry skiing experience of a lifetime.

A great backcountry adventure combines dog-sledding, exquisitely prepared game and fresh fish, an award-winning wine list and spectacular mountain views. The new Krabloonik has been offering dog sledding and freshly prepared gourmet meals consisting of local game for over 40 years in Snowmass. Guests enjoy a thrilling dog sled ride in the Snowmass backcountry led by 10 of the best trained Alaskan sled dogs. Each sled ride is an hour long, led by an experienced dogsled musher, and can accommodate up to 2 adults and one child. Each booked sled ride includes a lunch or dinner at the cozy lodge.

Another dining adventure is the snowcat ride at the Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro at Aspen Highlands Mountain. A mug of Glühwein is served on the snowcat ride up to the Bistro, and at dinner each guest is treated to a 4-course meal in a true Alpine atomosphere with pristine views for the surrounding mountains, including the maroon bells. Cloud Nine Bistro can accommodate up to 50 people for a private event or you can book individually.
